Chairman, working group on lawful interception
Legislative drafting and industry lobbying on lawful interception of telecommunications. Led the operator coalition that shaped § 97 and § 97a of the Electronic Communications Act - successfully defending operators against security agencies' demands for unrestricted access to intercepts and securing the statutory obligation for the state to bear the costs of interception.
